Donation terms & conditions

Donations & payment

Donations are made to The Curiosity Cabinet, Inc. and are charged in euros for European donors and U.S. dollars elsewhere, as shown on the donation form. Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe-hosted pages; your card details never touch our site. Stripe sends an emailed receipt for every donation. (Donations made in early July 2026 were processed by Square in U.S. dollars.)

Donations support the development and production of The Exquisite Corpse and the Cabinet's artistic work generally. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, donations are not earmarked for a specific expense.

Thank-you tiers

The tiers listed on the donation page describe the thank-you gifts we intend to provide at each level. Perks tied to the production — program credits, the score dedication page, the final dress rehearsal, and première admission — are delivered on the production's timeline, currently the June 2027 world première at the Austrian Cultural Forum New York. If the production is rescheduled, perks follow the new dates.

Mailed perks require a valid shipping address at checkout. Printed-credit perks use the name you give at checkout; we may edit credits only for length or house style, and we will not print a name we reasonably consider offensive. Capacity-limited perks (such as première admission) are honored in donation order while capacity lasts.

Refunds

Donations are generally non-refundable. If a charge was made in error — a duplicate submission, a mistyped amount, an unauthorized card — write to us within 30 days of the charge and we will make it right, refunding to the original payment method through the processor that handled the charge.

If we cannot deliver a perk you donated for, we will offer a comparable alternative or, at your choice, a refund of that donation.

Tax

We do not provide tax advice, and this page is not a determination that any donation is tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor. If you need documentation of your donation beyond the Stripe receipt, write to us and we will provide it.

Your information

We use the email address, shipping address, and credit name collected at checkout solely to fulfill your perks, send your receipt, and thank you. Payment data is handled by Stripe under Stripe's own privacy policy. We do not sell donor information.

Questions

Write to info@the-curiosity-cabinet.com with the email address you donated under and the date of the donation. These terms may be updated as the production develops; the version on this page applies to new donations from the day it is posted.
